We chose to join Jayne and Chloe’s nursery based on the fact we knew Chloe and Hayley from when they looked after our daughter at kiddi caru.
Then we met Jayne and we instantly knew that we wanted our children to join Jayne and Chloe’s house (even though it's further afield than many other nurseries).
We love how happy & safe our 2 children feel at Jayne & Chloe’s. It's the perfect balance of a home environment but with all the benefits of a nursery structure & learning.
We feel that our children really learn & develop at Jayne and Chloe’s and are pushed to achieve more (our 4 year old daughter can write, recognise letters, can add/subtract, completes large puzzles and does much more than she should at this age).
I feel that all of the staff genuinely care for our children, there are many things we love - They get fed an amazing variety of home cooked foods - We get a brilliant daily report on development & what activities have been completed - All staff take time to make conversation & know us as parents -There are additional activities which are encouraged such as sports day, Christmas parties, mother’s day tea etc - There are great outdoor facilities and these are used all year round
Our children are so happy here and I will be sad when our daughter has to leave to go to school in September.
I'd recommend Jayne and Chloe’s nursery to anyone
Dear Sir/Madam I wanted to write to you in light of the Ofsted inspection and give some feedback on this nursery setting. Our daughter has been attending the nursery since it opened having previously been under the care of Jayne as a childminder. Our daughter has thrived at Jayne and Chloe's nursery. She is so happy when she is there and has respect for all of the nursery teachers. This is a very unique setting where it is clearly evident that each child is not just respected but also valued as an individual. Child A has grown and developed so much at this nursery she is full of confidence and has learned so much through playful activities. Now in the older room under the care of Chloe who is full of creative ideas and full of passion for what she does. Our daughter is able to identify nearly all the letters of the alphabet and the sounds they make which is significantly more than her other friends of the same age 3yrs 4 months). I'm sure that this is due to the creative way that she has been introduced to words, letters and literature at the setting from Jayne in her younger years and now with Chloe also. Child A is full of imagination and independent creative play which has been encouraged and developed at this nursery. This is a place where children are safe and can grow into confident and well-mannered people who are able to interact with others, express themselves and develop into children who are prepared for school life. Although we live in Braintree and it can take up to 45 minutes sometimes due to traffic to get there, we made a conscious decision to keep our daughter at this nursery because she is so happy there. I asked my husband to describe the nursery and he summed it up in this sentence "It's a place of love, our daughter is loved there, you won't get that anywhere else"
Yours sincerely C Z.
I hope you're well and that you've had a lovely evening. I wanted to pass on some information and our feelings on our child’s care in your setting, should you like to share this with Ofsted.
To Whom It May Concern
Our son started at Jayne and Chloe's house in September 2015 just after his second birthday. I had been planning for some time to apply for full-time positions and knew that the only way I would feel comfortable leaving our son for the full week was if we were to find a setting where we knew he could thrive. We had visited several nurseries, childminders, and day care settings within and around the Chelmsford area and we found ourselves disheartened that the level of care and the perspectives and values of the settings we visited which did not seem to match our own. However, then we came to visit Jayne and Chloe's House and from the moment we walked in the door, I knew that this was the setting where I would like our son to spend his first few precious years.
Our child loves going to 'nursery' at Jayne and Chloe's and tells us every day about his carers, his friends and all of the varied and exciting activities they do throughout the day. Everyday there is a mix of creative and artistic activities, music and reading time, free play, structured crafts and lesson plans, and I am very glad that Jayne, Chloe, and the other childcare professionals place a strong emphasis on outdoor play with a large and beautiful garden for the children to explore each day. I have been continuously impressed by the creative and interesting lesson themes throughout the year to teach the children (autumn themes, Christmas, etc.) and the time that the staff take to develop these ideas into activities that help the children flourish. There is a strong focus on developing the children's skills (alphabet, counting, reading, maths, arts) and I've been so impressed by how tailored the activities are to the child's interests and personal development (We are able to see exactly how our child has progressed on the EYFS in a book that each child has prepared for them, which includes lovely photos). This preparation for further development and primary school is reassuring and we're glad to know that our child truly is getting the best start. Moreover, I know that our child feels wanted, welcomed, and loved in this setting. I see the smile on his face when he is with his carers and when he talks about them at the weekend and I see the caring nature of each of the employees towards every single child who walks in the door.
We could not be happier with this setting and each day that I drop him off I know I will return to a happy, smiling, and thriving little boy!

As a first time parent choosing childcare for our daughter was really important to us. We looked at five or six nurseries in Chelmsford but felt that these just weren’t right for our daughter. After leaving each nursery we felt that we just couldn’t put our daughter into the care of those individuals. We felt that she wouldn’t get the attention, love and care we wanted for her. We wanted our daughter to be in an environment which offered as much love and support as we did.
After seeing the Childminding Association at an exhibition we contacted Essex County Council who provided a list of childminders for us. Jayne and Chloe were on that list. As soon as we walked into Jayne’s house we felt at home. First of all Jayne saw us with the children around. This gave us a really good understanding of how safe and secure the children felt. Chloe was excellent. Although she is in her twenties she is so different to most people that look after children. Chloe has a natural way about her with children. She is creative, fun and very loving towards children. Our daughter automatically took to Chloe and now three years on they remain very close. We are forever amazed at Chloe’s creativity and the activities she comes up with for the children. They are engaging, fun and our daughter’s development comes along in leaps and bounds each time she does one.
Jayne is very nurturing with children. She is supportive and talks to them in way that helps the children to understand and be better people. For us as first time parents Jayne and Chloe’s advice has been priceless. They have taught us to be better parents to our daughter. If ever we had a problem or were unsure what to do Jayne and Chloe pointed us in the right direction. Never telling us what to do but advising and always getting it right.
Jayne and Chloe have become our extended family. We could not have done such a good job of bring up our daughter without them. When we discovered we were expecting our second child we felt happy that our childcare was already sorted out. We didn’t need to think twice. It was Jayne and Chloe all the way. We can honestly say that choosing Jayne and Chloe has been the most intelligent decision we have ever made in our lives. Knowing that they are both looking after the most precious things to us means that we can go to work safe in the knowledge that our daughters are safe, well looked after and most of all loved as we would love them. So from us to Jayne and Chloe thank you so much. We can never thank you enough for doing what you do. Just don’t stop!
In the four years I've known Jayne and Chloe, they have truly become a part of our family. The began to look after Sofia when she was only 8 months old. I was very conscious of going back to work and leaving Sofia in full time childcare, but as soon as I met Jayne and Chloe I knew I found the right place. Jayne and Chloe devote their full attention to each child and give what it individually needs. This is no ordinary place! There are daily trips out whether it is local park, school, or even local dentist or hairdresser. They draw pictures, make craft gifts, have Sports day, Birthday and Christmas parties and even summer bbq with all other children and parents .Every day we are informed what she has been up to that day, how she has eaten ( fresh home cooked food btw.) and slept. She also has her own scrapbook with pictures from the day one until now full of great memories. One day she will show this to her own kids, what a wonderful thing to have and keep! While I could speak volumes about Jayne and Chloe from both a personal and a professional level, I’ll let my Sofia do the talking instead, who genuinely looks forward going there and talks about them as she would about treasured family members...... that’s precisely what they are.
